Malaysia proudly hosts the ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing (ACMROCH) 2024, a prestigious event that brings together Ministers from ASEAN Member States (AMS) and the People’s Republic of China. Last year, the Roundtable took place in Nanning, China. In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, this Roundtable aims to deepen and strengthen the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and ASEAN-China cooperation in housing and urban-rural development. It also seeks to enhance comprehensive strategic partnerships and build a closer ASEANChina community with a shared future. ACMROCH 2024 is hosted by the Ministry of Housing & Local Government, Malaysia and held concurrently with the 23rd International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition 2024 (ARCHIDEX).

As envisioned in the first meeting last year, ACMROCH is a platform to foster closer collaboration between member countries, providing an environment for in-depth discussions, knowledge exchange and dialogues addressing crucial challenges and opportunities in the field of construction, housing and urban development. Delegates from AMS and China will converge to share insights, best practices and innovative strategies aimed at advancing and building sustainable futures in view of ASEAN and China’s rapid growth and urbanization.

LAPORAN PROSIDING FORUM HEBAHAN GARIS PANDUAN PERANCANGAN PETAK PENGECASAN KENDERAAN ELEKTRIK (GPP EVCB) DAN PROSEDUR PERMOHONAN PEMAJUAN

Tujuan forum hebahan ini diadakan untuk memberi penerangan dan pemahaman kepada kementerian dan jabatan berkaitan, Pihak Berkuasa Negeri (PBN), Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT), Charge Point Operator (CPO) dan penyedia perkhidmatan mengenai pemakaian dan pelaksanaan Garis Panduan Perancangan Electric Vehicle Charging Bay (GPP EVCB).

LAPORAN PROSIDING SIMPOSIUM AMALAN PERANCANGAN TERBAIK 2023

SIMPOSIUM AMALAN PERANCANGAN TERBAIK 2023 adalah platform sebaran dan diskusi berkaitan garis panduan perancangan yang disediakan oleh PLANMalaysia secara bersepadu bersama pemegang taruh berfokus. Program ini telah diadakan pada 23 Ogos 2023 di Dewan Damar Sari, Parcel F, Kompleks Pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan Putrajaya dan telah dihadiri oleh lebih daripada 400 peserta dari pelbagai latar belakang. Sebanyak 10 GPP telah dilancar, dibentang dan dibincangkan dalam sesi forum bersama panelis yang mempunyai latar belakang hebat dalam setiap Garis Panduan Perancangan.

LAPORAN PROSIDING SIMPOSIUM PENILAIAN IMPAK SOSIAL BAGI PROJEK PEMBANGUNAN

Mesyuarat Akreditasi Bil 1/2023 yang telah dipengerusikan oleh Ketua Pengarah Perancangan Bandar dan Desa pada 8 Jun 2023 telah bersetuju supaya Kursus Kompetensi bagi tahun 2023 diadakan secara dalam bentuk simposium dengan penyertaan terbuka kepada semua profesion yang berminat untuk memahami Penilaian Impak Soaial dengan lebih mendalam. Simposium SIA 2023 ini telah diadakan selama 3 hari yang merangkumi sebelas pembentangan dan dua sesi panel yang melibatkan enam orang ahli panel, di mana:

  • Modul 1 : Pengenalan Kepada SIA adalah terbuka kepada semua peserta;
  • Modul 2: Komponen Perancangan/Pembangunan Guna Tanah; dan
  • Modul 3 : Komponen Penilaian Impak Sosial adalah terhad kepada individu yang memenuhi kriteria.

NATIONAL WORKSHOP 1 National SDGs Frontrunner Cities Programme

The leadership of municipalities and regions is one of the most significant driving forces in the implementation of the SDGs, therefore this 1st National Workshop aimed to introduce roles and functions of IGES to local authorities and important stakeholders in implementing SDGs at ASEAN level.

This workshop is also a platform for local authorities and relevant stakeholders to discuss matters on methods and best practices in order to facilitate the execution of SDGs at local level. Equally important, this workshop also hope to find potential and promising candidates (local authorities) for SDGs-FC and Model Cities in the future.

This program intended to help cities in ASEAN to be dynamic, inclusive, as well as resilient, in accordance with the vision of ASEAN 2020. Since 2011 until 2017, ASEAN ESC Model cities had successfully supported and acknowledged 40 model cities through initiatives implementation and nature management policies that focuses on bottom up approach. Malaysia SDGs Report Report 2020

The Country Report on Cities and SDGs is the expected output of the ASEAN SDGs Frontrunner Cities Programme (FC Programme) at national level.

The main objectives of the report are:

  1. to summarise good practices and challenges on SDG implementation atlocal level, which will be shared under the FC Programme (such throughthe National Workshops);
  2. to illustrate what kinds of national supports are provided to the FCcities/model cities in implementation of the Priority Action Plan and how thesupports help/improve actions taken by the FC cities/Model cities;
  3. to summarise the lessoned learned and how it can be shared/applied toother cities from the viewpoint of national governments

PLANMalaysia is appointed by Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) as the National Focal Point for ASEAN SDGs Frontrunner Cities Programme in Malaysia. This report is jointly prepared by PLANMalaysia and PERSADA. PERSADA is the main vendor and consultant for the Programme in Malaysia. The content of this report has incorporated viewpoints and feedbacks from agencies at all levels of government (National, state and local), cities, NGOs, universities and communities
